52 weeks of colour challenge, 44 — firebrick

Firebrick is a word I’ve heard but never really considered its meaning. Fire and brick … something red-ish and something rectangular and often used to clad a house and not as a fashion statement in this week’s 52 weeks of colour challenge. But hey, that’s why it’s called a challenge.

The colour chart I checked said that firebrick is a medium to dark scarlet, yet to me the ‘brick’ in the word implies a muddier red so I found a frock with several red hues — when in doubt, cover all bases.
