Happy blogiversary to me

This blog is one year old and I’m amazed at my stamina considering the rate at which I learn and dump new hobbies as soon as I feel competent. I used to consider this behaviour indecisive and flaky, however, I read a book that said I’m a scanner and it’s okay to develop an interest in a subject, learn every single thing about it in the shortest possible time, experience burn-out and walk away.

But I’m still here and there’s lessons galore to learn about composition, design and man-handling the liquify tool with more ease to smooth the jaggies.

For this image I wore the same outfit and shot at the same location as my first picture on this blog. See you next year, My Precious and Paris.

  1. Congratulations on your year Jasmine! I just took a look at your very first blogpost, and it’s impressive to see how you have developed as a photographer – what a great idea, wearing the exact same outfit! I was interested to read about your being a “scanner” – maybe it’s testament to just how much there is to learn that you’re still here? Her’s to another year, I can’t wait to see where you end up then 🙂

  2. Hello, Bea.

Thanks for your lovely and encouraging words *hugs*.

I think being a scanner is a kind way of saying ‘short attention span’ but, as long as we’re learning and enjoying ourselves, it’s a good thing.
