52 weeks of colour part deux — week 3, electric indigo

Sometimes, despite desire and the affection in our hearts, we hurt those we cherish the most and lose them from our lives. We can try to mend fences all we like, but when the damage is already done our efforts are usually exercises in prolonging the pain. We keep reaching though because hope ignores logic almost every time.

That’s what I was trying to portray here.

PS: I was saddened by the news that Olive Juice Poses is closing in the next month. I had already taken this picture before I found out, but there will be more Olive Juice poses used in coming weeks as a thank you to Bella for the creativity and good humour she put into every pose and prop. All the best for you and your family in the future.

  1. Bella, thanks so much for visiting — it’s an honour to ‘meet’ you :-). You made my day with your kind comment so we’re even stevens ;-).

Eliza, thanks a lot for your comment. I took that photo from umpteen angles and even more crops until I thought my eyes were going to drop out of my head!

  2. This is both sad and gorgeous. I love the composition, the leaves in the upper left completing the frame — leaving only balloons free and flying away.

  3. Rudh, thank you so much. I got to ‘R’ in checking my blogs during the week and missed yours. I’m on my way to have a look!

Ayako, thank you — all the wrong emotions in this one but I’m glad for your words.

Hello, Sonya, thank you so much. I took shots from three different angles and finally got that one :-).

Guen, thank you. I hope I can catch them too, will bring a smile.
