52 weeks of colour part deux – week 10, avocado

HMAS Bun Bun

This was the last part of my place remaining before hitting the ‘return to owner’ button so I wanted to take a picture for posterity’s sake. With a really cool lawn sprinkler, an umbrella and a rabbit. In some eccentric recess of my mind, it all makes perfect sense for this week’s colour challenge.

Avocado is one of my favourite foods, eaten crushed on toast, in a salad or a tomato, cucumber, red onion and avocado salsa that can top almost anything. My dogs also love avocado and the fruit’s oils help keep their coats shiny — the Fuerte are good as the hounds eat the soft skins as well. Okay, now this post has truly gone in too many directions.

  1. Nic, thank you! When in doubt, go in all directions :-).

Rudh, thank you — I’ll keep a safe hold on Bun Buns — dunno if they swim too well!

Lashae, thank you so much — what a fun week :-).

Eliza, thank you. I could never have rabbits when I was young so maybe it was the Peter Rabbit books :-).

  2. Something about that picture – you and the bunny in an umbrella floating on the water – makes me think of the Owl and the Pussycat. So CUTE!

  3. Sama, thank you so much! It was hard to pack up at short notice — but I have found somewhere else and already run out of prims …

    Ayako, hello and thank you!

bourbie, thanks. I did an Owl and Pussycat picture last year for the tangerine week from memory. There can never be enough owls and pussycats :-).
